Gaststätte Niewo in Frankfurt

Very overpriced food. Personnel should be aggressive. I noticed that the restaurant owner puts her chairs and tables on the zebra crossing (!) And in front of the house entrances. The residents threatened to call the police and the tables were put away. But this happens again and again. I don't want to eat at a restaurant like that, if I'm honest. But they certainly have no offer for vegans either. I apologize if this rating was a little harsh, but it is the pure truth.

Coq au vin and bouef bourguignon are amazing! The service is friendly and you feel at home.

Gazpacho was peppered, not to be compared with the original Spanish dish, the pumpkin and aubergine ragout was too spicy, was unfortunately not on the menu, unfriendly service staff and regular customers were preferred. Once and never again

A very authentic small and personally run restaurant. The menu is individual or always up to date and the wine selection is very nice at a reasonable price-performance ratio. The service is friendly and personal. I like to say "Taverne" to a kind of restaurant. I mean THIS positively :-)

Cozy restaurant in the border area between the Nordend and Bornheim. Eating is home cooking, but slightly overpriced. All in all, however, OK

Very nice place w/ a good atmosphere where locals pop in cheering to other guests. Well cooked food with the right flavors. Staff pleasant and attentive open for a chat and helping decoding the menu which is handwritten on the wall. Go there! (It is very close to a five star.... long discussion after leaving the restaurant....)

The Niewo has been a cult in Bornheim for over 30 years. The French look, the good kitchen and the personal, very friendly service by the landlady and the staff are well known. You should always come early at 18:00 clock or make a reservation.

Fish soup is highly recommended. The green sauce is like my mother-in-law (very good)

We like to come here. The atmosphere is informal and family friendly. The food is excellent, the card changes more often. The wine is also excellent and in summer you like to sit outside. If you want to start with public transport, the 12 stops right outside the door. ?

Always worth it In Niewo you always have the feeling you are eating with friends. Great family atmosphere and in the summer great opportunities to sit outside. In the small garden you have the feeling you are not in Frankfurt at all and the food and drinks are always good and have a great value for money. Absolutely recommended. Definitely book!
